You’ve probably heard it said many times in many different ways: It pays to be kind. One man who understood this fact was Fred McFeely Rogers.

Fred Rogers was not only the star of his own kid-friendly TV show (which was called Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood); he was also a song-writer, a puppeteer, and an ordained Presbyterian minister. But more importantly, he was kind to kids of all ages.

Mr. Rogers said, “There are three ways to ultimate success. The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind.”

So, if you want to be a real success in the game of life, be kind. When you treat other people like you want to be treated, you’ll always be a winner. Just like Mr. Rogers.
